Terms & conditions

The terms that govern your use of this website and the HCC verification registry.

Last updated · January 2026

Acceptance

By accessing halalcc.org, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms govern the website and the public verification registry; certification engagements are governed by a separate written agreement.

Use of the site

You may use the site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or misrepresent your certification status or that of any third party.

The verification registry

The public verification record is provided so anyone can confirm the scope, status, and validity of an HCC certificate. The record shown at the time of a query is authoritative; certificates may move to “In audit” or “Withdrawn” as circumstances change. You should rely on the live record, not on a cached copy, screenshot, or printed certificate.

Certificates & the Trust Badge

Only current HCC-certified clients may display an HCC certificate or the Trust Badge, and only for the products and scope actually certified. Misuse — including displaying a withdrawn or out-of-scope certificate — is a breach of these terms, and the linked public record remains the source of truth.

Intellectual property

The HCC name, seal, content, and design are owned by the Halal Conformity Center and protected by applicable law. Nothing here grants a licence to use them except as expressly permitted (for example, a certified client displaying the Trust Badge for in-scope products).

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided “as is” for general information. While we maintain the verification registry diligently, we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, HCC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at HCC’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Certification agreements may specify their own governing law.
